This racket goes back to the teardrop shape only in a slightly larger size. These rackets remember the club players and the senior players that other manufacturers seem to have forgotten. Light enough for great maneuverability and heavy enough to have good power and control.

Choosing a racquet is very much based on personal preference, so it's always tough to say with surety whether a racquet is right for a particular player without letting the player try the racquet for themselves. I always encourage customers to take advantage of our demo program (http://www.holabirdsports.com/demo-racquet-program) to test out some racquets before they make a purchase decision. Based on the information you provided, the ASICS 125 does sound like it could be a very good choice for you and I would definitely recommend trying it out. It offers plenty of surface area, a large sweetspot, and lots of power for players with short, compact swings. There are plenty of quality options when it comes to string. I would recommend trying something fairly soft and lively. Several good options are Gamma Live Wire XP, Wilson NXT, and Tecnifibre NRG. All three should offer fairly comparable performance, but each might "feel" a little different.
