The Black Knight Magnum Tour 6 is loaded with the latest in racquet technologies, including Thermal Core technology (TC), where the racquet is pressurized with super heated air while it is being cured in the ovens for uniform results inside the frame and out. This process strengthens and stabilizes the frame, eliminating irregularities and producing consistent results from one racquet to another, including greater durability and faster racquet recovery during impact.

This racquet is prestrung with Ashaway SuperNick XL Titanium.

BK Thermal Core Technology:Carbon graphite racquets are hollow and must be pressurized internally while being heated and cured in the mold. With the BK Thermal Core process, superheated air is forced inside the racquet so that the structure is simultaneously cured from the inside and outside for a flawless effect. This process strengthens and stabilizes the frame, eliminating irregularities and producing consistent results from one racquet to another, including greater durability and faster racquet recovery during impact.

nXS nano-Carbon:nXS (nano-Carbon) is a graphite derived material now in use in racquet construction. Unfortunately there is a lot of hype and exaggeration surrounding the term nano as it applies to applications in different industries. Generally the term refers to working at an extremely small level, particularly with the manipulation of carbon molecules to form nano-tubes, but this has been seized upon to create the impression that racquets and other sporting goods are now being "engineered at the atomic level". This is not the case.

There have been real advances in materials and frames, and BK's use of the terms "nXS" and "nano" indicates those racquets where we have incorporated these leading edge changes to create stronger and lighter racquets with better playing features. However, we do make claims of atomic and molecular engineering that you will find elsewhere.

XMG: XMG – Extreme Modulus Graphite – is a top tier standard of carbon graphite fibers, providing:

  • Lower vibration
  • Higher durability
  • Faster frame recovery during impact

Vibra Plate Technology: Vibra Plate Technology modifies the racquet's cross-section to stiffen the head against torsion on impact and to interrupt the transmission of shock through the frame to the handle. The result: an exceptionally solid hit - excellent for control on off-center shots, and outstanding for power hitters.

Power of 6: Power of 6 models have been fine-tuned for optimum performance by first analyzing the frame under stress at 6 points, from the handle to the top of the head. The resulting data is then used to make further adjustments to the frame until the target specifications are achieved. Power of 6 is a feature of several new models introduced in 2011.

16 K Hyper Tensile Fiber (HTF): 16K Hyper Tensile Fiber weaves together 16,000 individual strands for more structural strength and durability. It is through the use of 16K-HTF that BK was able to create the new MaxForce badminton models – extra slim frames yet recommended for stringing up to 36 lbs (16.4 kg).

Comments about Black Knight Magnum Tour 6:

If you like a heavy racquet, but control and power this is the racquet to get. It's between a low-end racquet and a high end racquet for Black Knights. But I love it!
