The rugged design of the Ecco Tasman creates a cool look combined with top-notch functionality. A GORE-TEX® upper construction provides a waterproof and breathable fit.
Upper: Synthetic upper with textile panels and reinforced toe areas for ventilation and durability. Integrated GORE-TEX® construction is waterproof and breathable, ensuring dry feet at all times. Gusseted tongue construction provides a better fit and prevents debris and water from entering the shoe. Quick lace bungee system with toggle. Internal heel counter helps support the foot for a smooth gait cycle.
Midsole: A lightweight EVA midsole provides superb comfort and superior cushioning. The Receptor® Technology system provides stability, control and dynamic support during the three phases of a step. An Exo-skeletal Wrap Around Shank is anatomically designed to allow the great ligament to lock into place providing enhanced stability during the midstance phase. Forefoot propulsion plate provides additional torque during the push off phase. The placement of each finger is based on the biomechanics of the foot's geometry while encountering ascending, descending and horizontal surfaces. Dual axis flex channels replicate the natural bare foot's flex pattern to allow ease of flexion and provide additional strength during the push off phase due to reduced energy consumption during flexion. Removable molded EVA sockliner provides additional cushioning with shock absorption. Built with Ecco's "freedom fit" which corresponds to the natural shape of the human foot. This combination last provides a snug heel and instep with a generous toe box that allows the toes to spread and move freely increasing blood flow and comfort.
Outsole: RTR (Receptor Traction Rubber) provides outstanding traction and actually increases it's grip on wet surfaces. This non-marking rubber outsole with a visible 3-finger system offers excellent grip and traction for all your daily adventures. 20 degree cant at heel is the perfect angle for a cushioned, comfortable heel strike.
