BioFibre: Stronger than steel and lighter than carbon, Dunlop has extracted the stem fibers from plants and woven them into the shaft portion of the racquet. On ball impact, this natural fibrous structure actively filters shockwaves by 18% to provide a cleaner, more solid hit than conventional all-composite construction.

AeroSkin Cx: Dunlop has taken the concept of low drag surface texturing to a new level. Inspired by the textured skin of sharks and engineered in a wind tunnel, AeroSkin Cx smoothes turbulent air and reduces drag by up to 36% to provide greater racquet head speed for more penetrative shot making.

MoS2: Inspired by the wear resistant, self-lubricating properties of snake skin, Dunlop has engineered a revolutionary new polymer featuring a microscopic lubricant called MoS2. This increases grommet durability by 40% and reduces string friction by 27% delivering more string movement for enhanced power

  • Q:

is this a good racquet for a person who is about a 2-2.5 player. I thought a dunlop would be good for her because of the lighter head and the flex it has for power. Thoughts?

    • A:

The S series was made for intermediate players who need a little more power, due to a slower swing.

Yes, this racquet could be a good choice for a beginning player. It is relatively lightweight and has a forgiving headsize (without being too large). In the end, each player's racquet choice is largely personal preference, which is why I always encourage folks to take advantage of our demo program so that they can try the racquet out before making a purchase. For instructions, please check out our Demo Program page (http://www.holabirdsports.com/demo-racquet-program).
