The Renegade is a very nice shoe, but your concerns are valid. Men's feet and women's feet are structured differently, which is why most athletic shoes are not unisex. A:
Since racquetball requires explosive side-to-side movements, all racquetball shoes are designed to be very stable. This built-in lateral stability does support the foot and ankle and helps reduce ankle roll. The Ektelon Renegade also sits pretty low to the ground for a more stable feel.
