          Comments about HEAD Liquidmetal 8:

I tried this racquet a number of years ago, and was very pleased with it. Then I got into a spell of trying different racquets, but after about a year or so of that, I went right back to my LM8. I play nothing but doubles, and find this to be the best all-court axe I've ever tried.

          Comments about HEAD Liquidmetal 8:

I'm an experienced senior player who plays 3 or 4 times a week. This is probably the best racquet I have ever used. Seems to have all of the important elements. It feels firm and accurate. I plan on buying an extra one for backup.

Is this racquet rated for being one of the best on the market for combating tennis elbow?

              A:

Generally you will want to look at flexible frames. The more flexible a racquet is, the less power it will provide, but it will also absorb more of the shock and force from ball impact. The HEAD Liquidmetal 8 is actually a pretty flexible racquet, especially considering how powerful it is. I would also recommend checking out the Pro Kennex Kinetic Ionic line of racquets (http://www.holabirdsports.com/tennis/racquets/shopby/hb_manufacturer-prokennex/hb_racquet_family-kinetic_ionic.html). Pro Kennex has actually developed technology designed to actively combat the symptoms and effects of tennis elbow. They place strips of pods that contain tiny lead bearings inside the racquet frame. The lead bearings move freely within their chambers, resulting in reduced shock and vibration. You might also wish to check out Volkl's racquets as they also tend to be more on the flexible, soft side(http://www.holabirdsports.com/tennis/racquets/shopby/hb_manufacturer-volkl.html). We would also recommend that you consult with your doctor. Tennis elbow is definitely a medical issue and your doctor will be able to work with you and offer treatment options that meet your lifestyle and needs.

            • A:

Tennis elbow is largely a function of technique and biomechanics. No, this does not appear to be one of the best on the market at stopping tennis elbow.

How would you rank the power level on this racquet.Does this racquet offer good spin.Is this racquet manuevable?
Asked on 3/14/2012 by None from Woodstock,Ga

            1 answer

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

The HEAD Liquidmetal 8 is a very powerful racquet. It has an open string pattern and an oversized head so there is plenty of spin potential. The Liquidmetal 8 is fairly maneuverable thanks to its light weight, but—like most very light racquets—it is also head heavy, which will make it slightly less maneuverable.
