Comments about Sam Ball Machines Match Mate Rookie:

I got this item for my sister who is her tennis high school team, she uses it for practice on her back and forward hands it is useful for her so she can practice on her returns. The only thing is that it does not throw the balls with a lot of power if it had more ball throwing force that would have been nice but overall were satisfied.

Comments about Sam Ball Machines Match Mate Rookie:

You cannot be serious, this machine just murdered me on the court. I took it to the municipal park courts near my home and it was very easy to transport from the car to the courts. All steel construction with the American flag proudly displayed on the side. The balls land with a moderate topspin and after hitting around 300 balls, I am exhausted. I can't believe that this was only $450, in the world of ball machines, I've seen models that go for thousands! It was 62 degrees out today and after an hour with this machine, I am soaked. I know this will be a killer workout in a couple of months when it gets to be 90 degrees.

    • Q:

I'm considering this product for use with my dog who likes to fetch. I actually prefer racquetballs to tennis balls. Would this machine serve a racquetball as well as a tennis ball, if at all? Racquetballs are obviously smaller and lighter than tennis balls.

        A:

Unfortunately ball machines are not designed to launch racquetballs. It will launch tennis balls with speed ranges from 10 mph to 27 mph.

    • Q:

I see on the controls a dial for speed and a dial for frequency of serve. I would like to know if there is a way to set the vertical angle of the serve.

        A:

WKA12-7.5f AGM non-spillable battery. AGM stands for Absorbed Glass Mat, which I think just invloves how the electrolyte is stored within the battery. It is not a lithium ion battery.
