ASICS' GEL-Lift Trainer was inspired by professional weight lifting shoes and provides the support and structure for weight lifting that regular athletic shoes do not provide. The heel of the shoe has been lifted while the forefoot height has been decreased, putting the body in correct lifting motion and providing the best opportunity for explosiveness and power throughout the entire lift. Medial and lateral support is achieved through midsole outriggers and a mid-foot strap to provide exceptional stability. A breathable mesh upper has been added to ensure comfort while the weight of the shoe is significantly less than a professional weight lifting shoe, up to 2 ounces lighter!

Upper: Biomorphic Fit provides superior fit and function while decreasing the potential for buckling and irritation. P.H.F.® heel collar molds to athletes heel, creating a personalized fit. Air mesh and synthetic leather upper provides excellent comfort, support and breathability. Adjustable hook and loop forefoot strap for optimal midfoot support and lockdown.

Midsole: Forefoot and rearfoot GEL cushioning systems are strategically placed to absorb shock. Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.®) links components to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe off. Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.®) is linked componentry that enhances the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. DuoMax® is a proprietary ASICS® system consisting of two or more different density midsole materials, designed to help correct the degree and velocity of pronation. Removable ComforDry™ insole provides the optimum cushioning performance system that creates a cooler, drier, healthier shoe environment. Guidance Line®' vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency. Solyte® 55 super lightweight lasting with medium density for a cushioned, but more stable ride. Solyte® midsole is a lighter material than both ASICS' standard EVA and SpEVA® with improved cushioning and durability. The Space Trusstic System® is a midfoot stabilizer that creates a pocket between the Trusstic System® device and the midsole allowing for controlled midsole deformation and more efficient foot function. California slip lasted for increased stability and comfort.

Outsole: Non-marking outsole. AHAR® heel plug, ASICS High Abrasion Resistant rubber, provides increased durability in critical areas of the heel. DuraSponge® is a blown AHAR® rubber compound that enhances cushioning and durability in the forefoot.
