Upper: AIRMesh™ with synthetic overlays for support provides the utmost in breathability and comfort of the upper. Dynamotion Fit™ relieves the stress the foot naturally places on footwear and eliminates distortion in the collar and heel during the gait cycle for a perfect fit.
Midsole: The Mizuno Wave® is a leading footwear technology that combines cushioning and stability, two distinctly different elements that are both inherently necessary in great running shoes. Gender specific engineering is a philosophy to maximize performance by tailoring footwear to the separate needs of men and women. Women's gender specific engineering provides a Flex lines in the heel and forefoot. The Mizuno Wave™ is SmoothRide™ Engineered. This SmoothRide™ Engineering approach is used to minimize the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, creating the smoothest ride possible. AP+ enhances the inherent properties of the AP midsole, offering increased rebound and a "bouncier" feeling, which extends the cushion durability, while maintaining the light weight performance. VS-1 Shock-absorbing cushioning compound is found in the heel to absorb the forces from heel strike. The Mizuno Intercool Full-length midsole ventilation system reduces heat and humidity build-up inside the shoe. A removable sockliner provides a responsive first feel.

Since men are generally heavier than women, their running shoes must be able to absorb greater impact forces. Running shoe soles with an inadequate width can lead to a feeling of insecurity. I am an avid long-distance runner. These shoes are fantastic. Super comfortable right out of the box. Wave-runner's have been my go-to shoe for many years. These are a huge improvement over the WaveRunner 14's and with a lower heel-guard, you don't have to worry about blisters. These shoes are great for many different types of terrain (road, track, and trail). I would recommend this shoe to any runner, especially new runners who want a good all-around shoe.

I'm a new runner( about a year and some change) this is my first pair of mizunos.. Love them ! Did part of my half training in them , they felt broken in on the first run , I also like the feel of saucony , I think these have them beat, feel very stable, cushioned , supportive, yet lightweight

Really nice shoes. I run 30 miles/week, increasing steadily to 55 over the next few months, and these shoes have handled every mile with comfort, stability, breathability, and support. Don't run at a competitive level to justify racing flats, so two pair of the WR 15's cover training and races. I'll stay with Wave Riders until I'm too old to run.

I always run in the Mizuno Wave Rider. I haven't found a running/training shoe that is any better than the Wave Rider or the Wave Precision. I also always buy from Holabird Sports, as they have the best deals on the Wave Rider model! I can't wait for another Holabird Sports "Deal of the Day" on the Wave Rider or Wave Precision!! My debit card is ready! :)
