Upper: Synthetic Leather and mesh upper for breathable durability. PGuard™ Toe Protector provides enhanced toe durability. PHF® (Personal Heel Fit), memory foam lined heel collar, molds to the athlete's foot, creating a more comfortable, personalized fit. Padded air mesh tongue provides maximum breathability.
Midsole: Dual GEL® Cushioning systems in heel and forefoot for comfort and shock attenuation. Solyte® midsole material is lighter than ASICS' standard EVA and SpEVA®, combined with improved cushioning and durability. Trusstic System® reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoe. Solyte™ 55 last construction provides super lightweight lasting with medium density for a cushioned, but more stable ride.
Outsole: Solid rubber outsole with AHAR® (ASICS High Abrasion Resistant rubber) Heel Plugs placed at critical areas for increased abrasion resistance.

I teach tennis everyday for about 6-8 hrs and love these shoes. They are comfortable, responsive, stable, and supportive. I recommend the Asics tennis shoes to all my clients and have not found a better shoe.

This shoe was comfortable out of the box with no break-in required. The soles were originally very grippy, but after several hours of hardcourt play it wasn't a problem.
