I bought these shoes for my son who needs a really wide width. We bought a half size larger to accommodate his width. He plays tennis in high school and loves these shoes. They're very light weight.

Comments about New Balance 1005 WP Men:
I recently purchased this shoe as a try out. After it arrived and I played with them for two weeks on hard indoor courts, I was impressed so much that I purchased a second pair. I have not played outdoor on hardtru courts yet but I am sure they will be very good on those courts also.

Q:
What is the difference between CT1005 men's and MC1005WP men's?Asked on 10/2/2012 by Bob da Bangar2 answers
A:
There is no difference between the two shoes design or quality. They may have a different appearance, but that is about it.Answered on 10/2/2012 by Community Answer from NoneA:
The current version of this shoe is the MC1005. The WP simply refers to the color. The previous version of the shoe was called the CT1004. The differences between the CT1004 and the MC1005 are really only cosmetic. With regards to functionality, the shoes are extremely similar.Answered on 10/3/2012 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
Q:
What is the difference between the 1004 and the 1005?Asked on 7/4/2012 by Ric from Dallas2 answers
A:
There are some differences in the materials used for shock absorption in the midsole, but as a whole the shoes are very similar. The 1005 is slightly lighter thanks to some of the new materials.Answered on 7/9/2012 by Ryan from Holabird SportsA:
The New Balance 1005 is an update to the 1004. The 1005 has Acteva Ultra Lite cushioning material that ads shock absorption without added weight.Answered on 7/4/2012 by Community Answer from None
