Comments about New Balance 928 BR Men:

My Pedorthist recommended this shoe. He's right. I have pain in my ankles, across the top of one foot and in the arches. With my custom orthotics in this shoe, my feet feel great, don't get tired after walking for distances. And, in brown, they look pretty good.

      Service and delivery comments:

Holabird didn't have this in stock when I made this order online, and they called me immediately. But they shipped it in two days. With this kind of service, I always check Holabird first.

Comments about New Balance 928 Men's Brown:

NB walking shoes come in two lasts SL1 and SL2. I have used the 840series for 20 years and like the SL2 last. These were SL1 and the fit was different and a bit loose for me. I also found the bottom to be hard. The area that come up under the ankle came up a bit too high for my taste. I returned them without wearing them. I don't think I would have ever felt any more comfortable in them. They were not great looking, but I was buying them for the walking comfort I have come to expect from NB. Might have worked out diferent if it was the other last.

              Service and delivery comments:

I am in the midst of returning these and am sorry I didn't order from Zappos or Shoebuy where the return would have been free and I would not have had to call in for a code.

Comments about New Balance 928 BR Men:

I'm a B width with a high arch and was surprised when the shoes laces didn't touch together when I laced them up. You guys with narrow feet know what i mean. They actually look like they were supposed to look. I would say these run slightly narrow. The fit was great for me, if I were a D width I might opt for the wider size. I bought the size 12 which is my normal sneaker size.

I have several pairs of New Balance tennis shoes, model 803,655 and 1002. Could one of these serve as well for walking as this shoe and if not, why? Will be going on a two week tour to 6 National Parks so will be doing considerable walking but not necessarily hiking.

                  A:

You can use any of those shoes for walking, but for park and different terrains, we would suggest getting a running/trail shoe sold here >>> http://bit.ly/10NmJgS.

              • About New Balance
New Balance has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of running shoes and they've done this without expensive advertising campaigns. New Balance knows that there is no better press than positive word-of-mouth. New Balance began as an arch support company, but in 1960, they designed the first running shoe with a ripple sole and the first running shoe that came in varying widths. It didn't take long before New Balance running shoes were used by college track teams all over the country. Today, New Balance makes their shoes available in more widths than almost any other company and that means that there's a New Balance that can fit nearly any foot. Although they started by making running shoes, New Balance tennis shoes are an industry staple and are loved by recreational and serious players. New Balance also makes fine running and tennis apparel, as well as a variety of socks and other sporting accessories.
