What is the difference between NB993GL and NB990GL? I have had excellent experience wearing both the NB992GL and now the NB993GL. I'm planning to buy another pair of NB993GL but am a little confused if I should move up to its replacement - the new NB990GL. The 990 uses some slightly different technologies in the midsole and the upper styling is slightly different, but the shoes are very similar with regards to fit and function. The 993 has been discontinued and the 990 is the replacement, so the 993 will eventually phase out. If you were comfortable in the 993, you should not have any problems with the feel and fit of the 990, but everyone's foot is different so make sure you take the time to try the 990 on the carpet to make sure that it feels OK before taking it outside.Answered on 10/12/2012 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
