Upper: Padded tongue and heel collar enhance comfort. Flat laces reduce irritation and pressure points. Durable leather delivers durability and support. Forefoot and midfoot perforations allow airflow.

Midsole: ShockEraser insert in the heel absorbs heavy impacts and dissipates shock. Textile and mesh lining provides a smooth fit. Oversize TPU shank enhances midfoot stability. Removable insole.

Prince discontinued this NFS model for a few years and I'm glad it's back. Great stability; especially ankle support. It's amazingly durable... most of my play is on Hard-Tru clay. I'm going to buy a few pair in case they decide to discontinue it again.

I am 6'1" 195 lbs., with an all court game at USTA 5.0, ALTA AA in Atlanta. As a former basketball player I need to protect my ankles from rolling and there are very few real mid cuts on the market. This shoe protects and has great ankle support. The NFS is beginning to mold (after 6-8 hours court time) and I am a runner and mover on the court. The lacing system is excellent and although it does not feel like a full half size small as had been reported, it is closer to true to fit for me. It rained on our matches on Saturday and I discovered the shoe has excellent wet traction as well. I will be buying a second and third pair soon because they may go off market real fast like the last Prince/Holabird collaboration. Great shoe and a value for the price.

          Service and delivery comments:

Excellent communication. Blazing fast shipping. Shoes arrived promptly and with no abuse or damage to the packaging. Customer service was fantastic.

Comments about Prince NFS Viper VII Mid Men's:

I purchased 8 pairs of the Prince Viper VII and
planning to buy more. These shoes are the best
to protect your ankles. Excellent support. I
have seen too many players injured their ankles.
Now they are wearing ankle braces. I also love
to jump or fly in the air. Great for the lateral movement on all surfaces even wet. Thank goodness so far no injury----I believe in these shoes. I hope Prince continues to manufacturing these shoes. They are the only company that makes this type of shoes with comfort. Thank you Holabird and Prince.

great support as needed from plantar facsia injuries and surgery. Might be only mid-cut out there but it is a good one...Prince should make them a little more fashionalbe.

I have always worn size 12 while wearing all previous Viper Mid models. Do you think I should order the 12 in the Viper VII? I'm concerned about the warning that they run small, 12 1/2 is not offered and 13 may be too large!

                  A:

Depending on your preferred fit, if you wear a 12 normally in Viper Mid's it should be able to fit perfectly for tennis use.

I wore the Viper shoe for a number of years and it always worked well for me. I wore a size 10.

When they stopped making the Viper, I went to the Prince T22 Mid. I had to were a size 11 for the Mid.

Will the new Viper be sized like the old Viper?
