Please refer to the particular instructions of the safety cord purchased. Generic instructions are as follows:
1.Pull up on the wrist cord at the cord slot located on the bottom of the racquet handle. Slide the cord body up through the loop that holds it in place to remove the cord.

2 Bend a paper clip out straight. Bend one end of the paper clip into a hook shape.

3 Slide the paper clip through the wrist cord slot on the bottom of the racquet handle. Hook the paper clip onto the new wrist cord's top loop.

4 Pull the wrist cord up through the slot. Thread the cord body through the wrist cord's top loop. Remove the paper clip. Pull tight on the wrist cord to cinch down the loop.

      A:

There is some variance between different cords and racquets. Assuming the old cord has already been removed, you will need to thread the new cord under the pin inside the base of the handle. Depending upon the racquet, you may be able to use needle-nose pliers to grasp the cord and pull it out. If not, you may need to bend a paperclip or use an awl. Once you've gotten the other end of the cord out, simply tie the two ends of the cord together to create a loop.
