California Slip Last construction allows for increased flexibility and light weight by stitching the upper around the outside of the insole.

playing competitive volleyball this is the first gum rubber sole sneaker ive had and it scared me at first it was different and slippery at first and then after 3 games it started gripping very VERY well. they are a little tight with active ankles but not bad. i dont expect them to last too long but at a high level of play i go through a lot of sneakers.
i wouldnt use them outside. just for gym use. i would buy again

Based on previous experience and reading previous reviews I bough size 12 instead of my size, 11.5. It worked out well, the shoes fit very well and there is a safe gap between my toes and the front.
I wear them for playing squash.

Excellent shoes. I read somewhere that they feel slightly smaller, but I still ordered my usual size and now, after several days of squash they feel just right, not tight at all. I love the grip and the comfort. Very lightweight too.
