It eliminates unnecessary vibrations and enhances the feel of the ball.

Aero Modular: New modular frame concept, creates maximum penetration of the racquet through the air and increases the hitting power. Perfect control for directional hitting.

GT Technology: GT innovative technology combines crossed layers of graphite and thin threads of tungsten integrated into the racquet's lay up. Tungsten is a high-tech fiber used in the aerospace industry, highly valued for its toughness and tensile strength properties. Graphite tungsten innovative technology provides maximum torsional stability on the headsize for enhanced control, and energy restoration in the yoke for additional power.

Great feel for the racket with a dampener on it. Was a little difficult to get used to controlling where i wanted to hit the ball, but i have never performed better.

Comments about Babolat AeroPro Drive GT:

Originally test drove this racket at my club - based on my pro's recommendation - and loved it. Then I was convinced into another Babolet racket that had a little more well-roundedness as I am a recreational player around a 3.5 level. While I liked the other racket, I still had a little too much power with it and needed a little more control. I love this racket and the only exception is that it's a little on the heavier side for me. I will also play around a little with the stringing, but otherwise excellent!

              A:

The Babolat 2013 AeroPro Drive GT Tennis Racquet is the newest version of the Aeropro Drive tennis racquet series. The racquet has a few spec and cosmetic changes. Overall still the same racquet.

          • Q:

When discussing the product what difference does balance and swing weight make?
Asked on 4/13/2013 by Midlotrails from Midlothian Va.

              A:

Balance and swing weight are somewhat related. Balance refers to how the racquet's weight is distributed. Some racquets are head heavy (more weight pushed towards the tip), some are head light (more weight pushed towards the buttcap) and others are evenly balanced. Swingweight is a measurement of how heavy the racquet feels while in motion and is based on static weight, balance, and a few other factors.

          • Q:

Does this racquet need a vibration dampener?
            Asked on 8/23/2012 by Doug

            1 answer

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

Using a vibration dampener is 100% personal preference. It all depends on what kind of feel you like when hitting the ball. A dampener tends to give a more solid and dead feel at ball impact.
