Shoe feels slightly small, wouldn't say a half size. I am sticking with my original size because I feel that if I went a half size larger, there would be some heel slippage. Without a tongue these shoes are supposed to feel very snug. I have flat feet and wear orthotics, which feel very comfortable in the shoe.

This is a slip-on shoe for snug fit, however you will need a shoetree to get in it. The laces tighten the shoe to your foot. The inside of the heel is a bit higher than outside edge - making it okay if you walk with your toes pointed out a bit. This shoe is a touch heavier than current competition.

I'm a 3.5 tennis player who spends a lot of time on the courts. This shoe is the most comfortable tennis shoe I've ever owned. When playing I don't even notice that I'm wearing shoes. I would advise buying them in a 1/2 size larger. My only regret is that they don't offer shoe in different colors.

I've insisted on Diadora for about 10 years, ever since this brand was recommended by another player who formerly sufferered from progressive Achilles pain. It's like putting your feet into gloves (no tongue), and I've never had another problem! (But next time I'll order a half-size larger.)

Unlike running shoes, tennis shoes are not designed with as much emphasis on arch structure and foot biomechanics. Since tennis requires lots of sprinting, and quick lateral moves, the foot doesn't often go through a traditional heel-to-toe gait cycle like a runner's foot. This means that for tennis players, pronation, overpronation, and supination is not nearly as much of a concern as it would be for runners.
