Practice Quality. These tennis balls are an economical alternative for teaching or practice. Penn Coach Practice tennis balls are the same quality tennis balls you'd expect from Penn, just with slight cosmetic blemishes. While these cosmetic blemishes don't affect the playability of the ball, they are enough to prevent them from passing Penn's stringent quality control.

Each can contains 3 tennis balls.

        • Q:

can I use these balls for ball machine?
Asked on 7/14/2015 by mina from los angeles, ca

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

Yes you can use the Penn Practice Coach balls in a ball machine but they will lose pressure more quickly with daily use. If this is strictly for a ball machine, we would suggest a pressureless ball. Pressureless balls tend to feel heavier, but they will provide a more consistent feed from the machine and won't go dead over time.

are they good enough with good bounce to play matches with friends ?

            A:

Depending on your preference, Penn Coach Practice tennis balls are the same quality tennis balls you'd expect from Penn, just with slight cosmetic blemishes. While these cosmetic blemishes don't affect the playability of the ball, they are enough to prevent them from passing Penn's stringent quality control.

        • Q:

what is the difference between the Penn's Coach vs. Practice Tennis Balls?
Asked on 7/31/2012 by liu6664 from ca

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

Penn Coach tennis balls are considered practice balls. They are simply made to slightly less strict quality standards. Penn XXX practice balls come from all the lines of Penn's match-quality balls, but have slight cosmetic defects that don't affect play. Both are an inexpensive way to fill teaching baskets and both work very well.

        • About Penn
Penn is one of the most recognized names in tennis balls. Penn was started in Jeanette, Pennsylvania in 1910. Since then they have developed some of the most important tennis ball enhancements. Penn was the first to invent pressurized ball cans. Next they invented the first fluorescent yellow tennis balls. In 1973, the USPTA used Pro Penn tennis balls as their official ball. Throughout the past 100 years Penn has made revolutionary discoveries that have continually improved the tennis ball.
