Why place brand name on ball of foot? With foot problems, I can feel the details of every letter. Due to this it causes additional pain. Consider this.

I bought my first pair nearly 5 years ago and I used it in my Lowa Mountain boots. It's super comfortable and extremely durable. Once in your footwear, you can really feel the cushioning effect this insole provides. My first pair lasted nearly 4 years! Well worth the money!!

I have a couple of questions. I wear a size 9 very wide shoe (4E). Which size should I get to insure that the insole width fits in the shoe properly?
Also, I have very low arches. Is this a good model insole for me?

          Thank you.

            A:

The Sorbothane Ultra Graphite Insole is an excellent insole for all foot types. If you are looking for a wider insole, we would suggest the Spenco® PolySorb® Walker/Runner Wide Fit Insole or the Superfeet Performance Green Wide Insole. These insoles are ideal for feet with high to medium arches. If you have any further questions, please call us toll free at (866) 860-1416.

        • Q:

I wear a size 7.5 in womens. Can these be cut to fit into my shoe if they are too big? And if so, how well do the edges hold up after cutting?
Asked on 2/26/2015 by Rene from United States

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

You will need a Size B Women's if you are between 7.5-8.5. The Arch insoles are designed to be cut for a more custom fit. The edges will not split or peel after being trimmed to the correct size.

        • Q:

HI, I just ordered a pair of these in size F. My shoes are extra wide though, actually they are size 11 1/2 in a 4E width. Will these inserts be wide enough to give me good coverage in the toe box area? Thanks.
Asked on 8/24/2013 by Frank from Tiffin, Ohio

          1 answer

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

It should fit the toe box area well, but it's tough to say for sure without trying them in the shoe. The Sorbothane Ultra Graphite Arch insole is a bit less rigid than some other inserts, which should give you some flexibility in terms of fit. If worst comes to worst, bumping up to the next size larger should provide the extra coverage you need and you can still trim the insoles to fit lengthwise.

        • Q:

          Hi,
I have benefited from using standard Sorbothane inserts many years, suggested by a doctor who was a hiker. Sorbothane inserts were sold in my local stores when I first wore them. I think I recall a retailer saying awhile ago that they didn't make a ton of money selling them because they last so long. I've been without them for a time and it is great to be able to order these online. I am interested in trying the graphite arch insoles at present.

Having no arches, some support is welcome, yet I prefer the arch area not be too rigid. I have worn some fairly rigid arch support insoles, but a podiatrist recently thought less rigid for me might be better. I am hoping your inserts are more comfortable. Please give some ideas on the height and flexibility in the arch area of this Ultra Graphite Arch Insole. Thanks.

          • Staff Reviewer

            A:

The Sorbothane Ultra Graphite Insole does have a very rigid arch. If your podiatrist suggested a less rigid arch support, then the Ultra Graphite might not be the best solution for you. It's tough to make any sort of recommendation without seeing your feet in person. Since you are working with a podiatrist, the best course of action might be to consult further with your podiatrist to find out exactly what type/brand of insole he or she would recommend for your foot.

This is the same insole that you are trying to replace. The letter at the end of the style number simply denotes the size of the insole.

Yes. Sorbothane changed the name, but the product is the same. We checked our inventory and the items we have in stock all say "Ultra Graphite Arch" on the packaging. Our website is being updated to reflect his new information.
