Q:
What has changed from the Wave Musha 4 to the Wave Musha 5? I liked the Wave Musha 4, but usually when a company redesigns a shoe that I like, they change something critical and then I have to find a new favorite shoe. Has anyone found any differences?Asked on 4/23/2013 by Hilary2 answers
A:
The only significant difference is the upper mid sole which is now more flexible then the 4.Answered on 4/23/2013 by Community Answer from NoneA:
The Musha 5 is very similar to the Musha 4. The upper has been slightly tweaked and the Musha 5 is lighter than its predecessor, but the feel of the shoe underfoot should be mostly identical. If a shoe is successful—like the Musha—manufacturers are often hesitant to make wholesale changes. Usually the manufacturer will make minor adjustments (as is the case this time) designed to improve the shoe, but every person's feet are different. Sometimes minor adjustments vastly improve the shoe for a majority of people, but make it less suitable for other people. Whenever a runner switches to a newer version of a shoe, I always recommend that they try the new shoes on a carpeted surface before running to make sure that the updates haven't made the shoe less comfortable for them.Answered on 4/23/2013 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
