I purchased one of these lights and for the last 1.5 years it has worked great. Now I need to replace the battery. I can get the plastic cover off the batteries, but have no idea how to get the 2 batteries out. They look like hearing aid batteries and are held in place by a metal bar that has ears coming down each side around the battery. Is there a simple way to replace the batteries that I am missing? It is advertised as replaceable batteries.

  We were able to remove the plastic cover and we saw the bar you referenced. To remove the batteries, carefully pry the tabs up with a screwdriver and you should be able to slide the battery out from under the bar. You can then slide a new battery in and carefully bend the tabs back into place.
