Heel adiPRENE® unit absorbs shock for added comfort. Full forefoot adiPRENE®+ provides shock attenuation and protection. If comparing to the Tempo 4 shoe, the Tempo 5 is obviously redesigned. A tad bit lower to the ground in the forefoot. Definitely lighter, which is great. Heel-to-toe transition isn't very smooth, i.e., the shoe is primarily for forefoot strikers. Definitely a faster shoe, i.e., being a bit lower to the ground and lighter than the Tempo 4, you will run faster. Less lateral support than the Tempo 4, but runners usually run ahead vs. sideways. The gray/white/infrared color, well, the gray is more like a semi-metallic dark charcoal gray and the infrared is more of a bright orange. Not much white covers the shoe. Personally, this is the color combo I got and I think the red/blue combo is much more appealing w.r.t. asthetics. Of course, the shoe's color is personal taste.

Holabird Sports service/delivery always excellent!!! Though for some reason, this one particular time, I specified my place of work as the ship to address, but the items were sent to my home address. Never had any prior issues with my work as a ship to address.

Adidas Tempo 4 were (are) one of my all time favorite shoes and I couldn't wait to try the Tempo 5's. The reduction in weight without sacrificing stability has quickly made these an every day trainer. Love the colors, no one misses me when I pass them by...
