Internal heel counter with padded heel collar for increased support and comfort.

Midsole: Rearfoot GEL® cushioning system attenuates shock during the impact phase and allows for a smooth transition to the midstance. California Slip Lasting provides increased stability and comfort. A removable ComforDry™ sockliner provides cushioning performance and anti-microbial properties for a cooler, drier, and healthier environment. Solyte® midsole material provides enhanced cushioning and durability while weighing less than ASICS' standard EVA and SpEVA. Flex grooves along the entire length of the shoe promotes natural foot movement by providing optimal flexibility.

Outsole: AHAR® (ASICS High Abrasion Rubber) is placed in critical areas of the outsole for maximum durability.

"This capable new shoe delivers a terrific balance of value and comfort, thanks to its well-cushioned foam and GEL midsole. Despite its minimal looks, the Blur33™ isn't thin-soled or level enough for the barefoot crowd. What it does have, according to our testers, is a sweet underfoot feel.
