I am a runner. The Asics DS Trainer has been a great shoe for my foot for several years. I always make sure I have a new pair 8 weeks before a marathon. The specialty store that I purchase my running shoes from has decided not to carry the DS Trainer for now. In desperation for a fresh shoe to run in before the Boston Marathon I tried the Asic Noosa-Tri. It's a good shoe, but not for me. I found myself a month out from Boston wishing I had a new pair of Asic DS Trainers. I decided to order the DS Trainer through Holabird. I got the shoe just in time to wear it for a couple weeks before the marathon. I didn't regret it! My feet felt great the whole time. I was .4 miles away before the finish when the 2nd bomb went off. Thank goodness for good shoes . . . because I needed my feet to walk several more miles in order to get away from the area . . . and my DS Trainers didn't finally come off my feet until 9 PM that night.
