Updated with an amazingly light weight that takes max support to a new level, the Foundation® 10 continues to address the needs of moderate to severe overpronators.
Upper: Lightweight mesh upper with synthetic overlays provides breathability with added support and durability. P.H.F.® heel collar consists of 2 layers of memory foam that mold to the athletes heel, creating a personalized fit. 3M Reflective Material enhances visibility during low light hours increasing safety. Padded air mesh tongue maximizes ventilation. Internal heel counter centers the foot.
Midsole: Forefoot and rearfoot GEL cushioning systems are strategically placed to absorb shock. The GEL® cushioning system attenuates shock during the impact and toe off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes so the foot transitions through the gait cycle. Removable ComforDry™ Insole provides the optimum cushioning performance system that creates a cooler, drier, healthier shoe environment. Solyte™ midsole is a lighter material than both ASICS' standard EVA and SpEVA® with improved cushioning and durability. A top layer of injected Solyte® provides a cushioned platform feel in the forefoot. DuoMax® Support System helps ensure that the shoe maintains proper support for the foot during the critical transition from heel strike to toe-off by utilizing two different density midsole materials. Trusstic System® reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoe. Built on a Solyte™ 65 super lightweight lasting with high density provides maximum stability without sacrificing comfort.
Outsole: Guidance Line™ is a vertical flex groove that decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency. AHAR® heel plug, ASICS High Abrasion Resistant rubber, provides increased durability in critical areas of the heel. DuraSponge® is a blown AHAR® rubber compound that enhances cushioning and durability in the forefoot. Flex grooves provide optimal flexibility.
