PHF® (Personal Heel Fit), memory foam lined heel collar, molds to the athlete's foot, creating a more comfortable, personalized fit. Asymmetrical lacing design provides an anatomically correct lacing environment that reduces potential for irritation and provides improved comfort and fit. Midsole: ASICS' forefoot and rearfoot GEL cushioning system is a silicone based gel that is strategically placed at high impact areas in the forefoot and rearfoot for shock attenuation during the impact and toe off phases. This allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. I.G.S.® (Impact Guidance System) utilizes ASICS linked componentry to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. A Discrete Heel Unit takes I.G.S.® to a new level by creating the highest degree of shock attenuation and stability. Lighter than ASICS' standard EVA and SpEVA, Solyte™ midsole cushioning material provides an exceptionally lightweight midsole with excellent bounce-back and durability. Gender specific forefoot cushioning consists of a top layer of injected Solyte™ providing a cushioned platform feel in the forefoot. This lower density provides improved cushioning and forefoot comfort in women's shoes. Gender Specific Space Trusstic System® creates a pocket between the Trusstic System and the midsole, allowing for greater midsole deformation and more efficient foot function. This system is gender specific by recognizing the normal periodic changes in the shape of a woman's arch and provides for the controlled deformation of the arch into the space within the system. ComfortDry™ Sockliner provides optimal cushioning performance in a cooler, drier, healthier environment. Solyte™ 45 last construction enhances try-on comfort and long lasting feel by employing ASICS' proprietary Solyte™ midsole material.
