product details
Upper: Open mesh upper for a lightweight, breathable experience. Nav Band wraps over the instep to comfortably secure the foot in place. The dynamic stretch provides just the right amount of support and can accommodate different foot shapes with a comfortable, assured arch fit. Lightly padded heel for increased comfort.
Midsole: Full length BioMoGo DNA Midsole blends Brooks BioMoGo and Brooks DNA technologies to give the entire midsole adaptive properties. With each foot strike, the BioMoGo DNA tunes the cushioning and responsiveness to the specific needs of each and every runner. Ideal Heel provides a curvature in the heel which shifts the contact point forward so the runner lands with more ground clearance under the middle of the heel. This aligns the joints to encourage optimal energy return and reduce internal stress.
14mm heel midsole height, 10mm forefoot midsole height, 4mm offset.
Outsole: The Toe Flex technology splits the toe box, allowing the big toe to function independent and engage the runner’s natural balance. Flexible materials empower a more efficient push off during the propulsion phase. Anatomical last mimics the foot to provide lose support and a glove like feel. Longest at the big toe and tapering to the smallest, matching the runner’s anatomy allows the shoe and foot to work as a single unit.
Available in width D (Medium).

Q:
I see a design feature at the rear of the shoe I have not seen on other running shoes. I have owned other Brooks models since the early 80's and have been very satisfied. Does this shoe offer comfort over stability? thank youAsked on 1/26/2013 by Flipjack from Port Orange, Fl.1 answer
A:
The Brooks Pure line of shoes is a bit different from "conventional" running shoes. They are designed to provide a more "natural" running experience thanks to a flexible outsole design, a reduced midsole height, and a reduced heel-to-toe offset. If you are looking to get into a more minimal shoe, the any of the shoes in the Brooks Pure line could be a good choice. If you are seeking a more traditionally cushioned, supportive running shoe, this might not be the shoe for you.Answered on 1/31/2013 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
