Women’s Running Magazine added another feather in Mizuno’s cap when they named the Wave Creation 13 as their Best Neutral Shoe. Testers loved the one-two punch provided by the shoe’s soft feel and solid foundation. This shoe looks sharp in colorful sangria, anthracite, and aquarius.
Ranked #1 supportive long-distance shoe by SELF magazine! The Mizuno Wave Creation 13 is a neutral running shoe with shock absorbers so amazing you’ll barely feel the ground beneath you. Try it in beautiful sangria, black and turquoise.
Neutral. With an improved feel at heel strike, the Wave® Creation™ 13 maintains the phenomenal fit of its predecessors thanks to an updated Infinity Wave construction.
Upper: AIRMesh™ with synthetic overlays for support provides the utmost in breathability and comfort of the upper. Dynamotion Fit™ relieves the stress the foot naturally places on footwear and eliminates distortion in the collar and heel during the gait cycle that results in heel slippage and a poor fit. The goal of DynaMotion Fit™ is to create perfect harmony between your body and your running shoes. DynaMotion Fit ™ in the Creation 13 also includes two way stretch in the forefoot to compensate for stretching of the foot during toe off as well as the ability to hold key areas in place, keeping the foot centered on the midsole.
Midsole: Mizuno's revolutionary Infinity Wave™ provides the ultimate in cushioning, rebound and durability by reducing the shoes reliance on midsole foam. Sensor Point™ suspension system connects the Wave plate to the ground, thereby enhancing stability and traction. AP+ midsole enhances the inherent properties of AP Midsole. AP+ improves the quality of the running experience by offering increased rebound and a "bouncier" feeling which extends the cushioning durability, while maintaining the lightweight performance you've come to expect from Mizuno. Mizuno Intercool full-length midsole ventilation system reduces heat and humidity build-up inside the shoe. SmoothRide™ Engineering minimizes the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, creating the smoothest ride possible. A removable Ortholite® sockliner provides a responsive first feel.
25mm heel height, 13mm forefoot height.
Outsole: X-10™ featured in this shoe is the most durable carbon rubber that allows for longer wear in high impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike. SmoothRide Engineered, a solid rubber forefoot outsole design for durability and flexibility.
Recipient of the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance, which recognizes products that have been found beneficial to foot health, and of significant value when used in a consistently applied program of daily foot care and regular professional treatment.
Spring 2012
"The perfect neutral running shoe is all about finding the sweet spot between cushion and support. Nearly every tester reported that the Wave Creation boasts the ideal balance of a pillowy feel and a solid foundation. ‘It’s a great combination,’ noted one Florida-based runner. Improvements from the Creation 12, including a lighter weight and additional cushioning in the heel, make the 13’s a great go-to trainer for runners looking for structure without pronation protection."

Women have a wider pelvis than men causing them to pronate more when their feet land. Additionally, less muscle mass and softer connective tissue in women increases the speed at which the ankle rolls inward. By making their shoes more flexible with more pronounced flex grooves and the outside heel more rounded, Mizuno produced a softer landing, slowing the inward roll of the ankle, producing a more desired result for female runners.

Just started running with this shoe. Switched from Asics Nimbus. So far good shoe and no break in necessary.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Creation 13 Lady Orange/Silver/Lime:
I usually wear the Wave Rider, but I tried these since they were on close out sale. Unfortunately, I love them! Now I'll always be watching for these to be on sale. Very light but still just as cushioned as the Wave Rider.

Comments about Mizuno Wave Creation 13 Lady Orange/Silver/Lime:
This shoe is very comfortable, but mine wear out around 150 miles...i have ran right thru the soles! I am a small runner and have been running for decades. I use this shoe on ice cold pavement. This shoe used to last a lot longer. In my opinion, they have cheapened the soles rubber. That said, it is a very comfortable shoe.
