Moderate Stability. Mizuno's flagship support shoe is engineered for runners who demand the best of both support and flexibility. The Mizuno Wave Inspire 9 features a glove-like, supportive fit and a light weight for mile after mile of running.
Upper: Mesh upper with synthetic overlays for enhanced support. An updated heel counter provides a natural fit while still reducing weight. Dynamotion Fit technologies create an upper that moves with the foot seamlessly throughout the stride. Padded tongue and heel collar. Textile lining.
Midsole: Mizuno Wave Technology® combines cushioning and stability while dissipating impact forces away from the foot. An AP+ midsole offers increased rebound while extending the cushioning durability and maintaining light weight performance. SR Touch lightweight cushioning compound in the heel offers high resiliency and quick bounce back for a smoother ride. Gender Engineering philosophy maximizes performance by tailoring footwear to the separate needs of men and women. Removable sockliner for enhanced comfort.
12mm heel to toe offset.
Outsole: SmoothRide Engineering™ minimizes the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, creating the smoothest ride possible. X10® durable carbon rubber outsole allows for longer wear in high impact areas and supplements traction at heel strike.

Q:
The tongue always moves on my Waverider shoe. I want to switch to the Wave Inspire for other reasons, but I have the same concern. I would really like a built in tongue that doesn't move. Not sure what the removable sock liner is....would that solve my problem?Asked on 3/18/2013 by J from Raleigh2 answers
A:
The Wave Inspire does not have a built-in tongue. The tongue on the Wave Inspire is constructed the same as the tongue on the Wave Rider. The sockliner is another word for the insole.Answered on 3/19/2013 by Ryan from Holabird SportsA:
The removable liner is a small cloth liner inside the shoe that can be removed. There is a slot on the tounge of the shoe that you put your laces through to stop the tounge from falling.Answered on 3/19/2013 by Community Answer from None
