This is my 5th pair of the 890 series. I've never been a particularly big fan of New Balance, but I'm sure sold on these. Light, well cusioned, durable and comfortable. As long as NB keeps making them, I'll keep using them.

I bought this shoe to help me transition from a stability shoe to a minimal shoe and it has work out great. I having been a runner for 33 years and have run in a varity of shoes, and in the last several years I have been lucky to get about 300 miles out of a pair. This is my third pair of these shoes and I got 500 miles out of the first pair and 420 miles out of the second. I use them as my everyday trainers, and run short distances and races in minimalist/neutral shoes. These shoes have helped with that transition. The only negative thing I have to say is that for some reason on longers runs these shoes will wear a hole in my socks on the top side of my big toe? I believe it is because of the extra over lap material in thta spot on the top of the shoe design. it hasn't cause a blister, but just puts a hole in the shoe.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
