Proudly assembled in the USA.
Upper: Air mesh with synthetic overlays provides light weight breathability and added support. Padded heel collar for a comfy fit. Reflective accents provide 360 degree reflectivity. Internal heel collar helps center the foot at heel strike for increased stability.
Midsole: N-ergy is a resilient engineered elastomer designed to provide shock absorption and responsiveness for the optimal ride. ABZORB® SBS in the forefoot is an engineered non-cellular elastomer designed to provide optimal shock absorption and no compression set. Stabilicore® is a medial support system that provides an extremely smooth transition from heel strike to toe-off. It is made from an injection molded engineered thermoplastic that offers a great deal of precision and consistency. Unlike traditional foam posting systems, it provides a continuous range of stiffness for optimal transition. Stability Web technology provides optimal arch support that's both rigid and lightweight while preventing midfoot flex. Full length ABZORB® Strobel board. Built on New Balance's SL-1 standard running/walking last. Removable Ortholite® sockliner provides long lasting cushioning, air flow, moisture wicking properties and is odor and fungus inhibiting.
Outsole: Blown rubber provides lightweight cushioning and traction while Ndurance® outsole rubber compound provides maximum durability in high wear areas. Forefoot flex grooves provide optimal flexibility.
Available in widths B (Narrow), D (Medium), EE (Wide) and 4E (Extra Wide).

Comments about New Balance 940 WB Men:
My running shoe of choice has been the NB 1260s for the past two years, mostly due to the Stabilicore feature. The 1260s have been discontinued and replaced with the 1260v2. I found the v2 to be too narrow in the toe box. So in searching for another shoe with Stabilicore, I came across the 940s. They are comfortable and provide the same support as the 1260s...a great alternative. So the 940s are now my running shoe of choice.

Comments about New Balance 940 WB Men:
The 940 is a good shoe for those who have problems with overpronation. It's also helpful that it comes in extra widths for those of us with wide feet. It's a solid running shoe with nice cushioning and very durable, but the downside is that it is a bit heavy. I also find the traction to be a bit weak, but since I'm primarily a road runner it's not a big deal.
On a side note, the shoe is also made in America which is a rarity, so I give
