A rugged, yet feminine design means you don’t have to sacrifice style to enjoy nature. Toe Protect does just what it says so you won’t have to worry about the terrain.

Upper: Dual-density Collar uses both a softer density foam against the foot for cushioning and a firmer density foam for support. Gusseted Tongue fully attached to shoe keeps out debris. Mesh and synthetic overlays offer flexible support. A lace up front provides a customizable fit. Flat laces reduce pressure on the top of the foot. A loop at the back of the heel makes the shoes easier to pull on.

Good shoe until it rips

By MHsurf

from Wildwood NJ

Comfy, waterproof, soles last but with a problem..the top. Both shoes ripped at the point of where my toes are. Ran two endurance races in them and they ripped shortly after. For the price that I paid I expected better

awful shoe

By lord20

from austin tx

this is a terrible terrible shoe and I'm a New Balance guy. My first pair ripped on the side, my foot and toe totally exposed. this was on the left foot. The right one was getting a rip. while I was returning these a lady was doing the same thing with the same shoe next to me. The NB guy gracefully took it back and gave me a new pair. Now 5 months out the exact same thing, but worse, and I don't wear them hard... really. DONT buy this shoe!!

Started falling apart after a few months of light use

By pgallett

from Washington, DC, USA

I was attracted to the 910 for the gore-tex lining and the trail use, which implied extra durability. The shoes fit pretty good and seem true to size. The problem I have is the build quality/durability. The upper started tearing/ripping in several spots where the crease forms across the toes where you step. At first I thought I had inadvertently damaged them, but then the rips started forming on the other shoe as well in the same area. All of this after a month or so with fairly light use, mainly on dirt roads. I've been a faithful NB fan for about 15 years (since I learned I'm a 4E width) and have never had a shoe fall apart so easily. I can not recommend this shoe and have some misgiving on the brand as whole after this experience.

Great for the off-road adventure runner.

By goodkarmaboy

from Oakton, VA, USA

I run on a trail that isn't exactly what you would call "maintained". There are a couple of places I need to jump in order to cross a gap, the extra cushioning on these shoes is wonderful for those landings that don't go so great. These shoes have gone through a lot so far. They've seen some serious mud, soft earth, loss gravel, tree roots, hard pact earth, I've even had the trail fall apart under me and dump me in the creek, kept my feet dry and happy.

Great winter running shoe

By TeddyJ

from Minneapolis, MN, USA

This is basically a road shoe with a trail tread. The shoe body is gortex and thus your feet stay dry and warm. My regular road shoe is the 1080 and the cushioning here is comparable. The tread is aggressive and give great grip in snow and ice. I live in Minnesota so I know what I am talking about here. I run in very thin socks and I did have a small blister issue with the tongue the first couple of runs, which I am sure would not have happened with a thicker sock and that does not happen at all now that they are broken in. The bottom line is that I am putting 40-50 miles a week into these shoes and love them. I am sure to buy another pair.

  • About New Balance
New Balance has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of running shoes and they've done this without expensive advertising campaigns. New Balance knows that there is no better press than positive word-of-mouth. New Balance began as an arch support company, but in 1960, they designed the first running shoe with a ripple sole and the first running shoe that came in varying widths. It didn't take long before New Balance running shoes were used by college track teams all over the country. Today, New Balance makes their shoes available in more widths than almost any other company and that means that there's a New Balance that can fit nearly any foot. Although they started by making running shoes, New Balance tennis shoes are an industry staple and are loved by recreational and serious players. New Balance also makes fine running and tennis apparel, as well as a variety of socks and other sporting accessories.
