The only thing not great about the New Balance Trek is my wife thinks the color I picked is ugly. Has nothing to do with my enjoying them. Lol

        Comments about New Balance 910v3 Men's Trek/Red:

Initially I was extremely impressed with these trail running shoes. I have a difficult time finding shoes that fit properly because my foot is wide across the ball of the foot with an average width heel. These shoes one half size larger than my traditional size in EE width are perfect. I have always been forced to either break in shoes that were too narrow, or use insoles to snug up the heel area with boots that have a wider last to avoid blisters. I will purchase New Balance again, but I will not buy trail runners with GORE-TEX fabric again, because once my feet begin to sweat in these, they stay damp as long as I leave the shoes on. This actually resulted in my first case of athlete's foot in 24 years... yeah, gross. This particular model performed very well on mixed terrain trails, hopping roots, through gravel, mud, and some pavement. I would recommend the non-GORE-TEX version for trail running, although that version may be okay for casual use. I would recommend ordering one half size larger for a perfect fit.

I am looking at the NB 910v3 Trek/Red. The Style listed is MT910GX3, which suggests that this is the Gore-Tex model. Is it? Thanks!

          • About New Balance
New Balance has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of running shoes and they've done this without expensive advertising campaigns. New Balance knows that there is no better press than positive word-of-mouth. New Balance began as an arch support company, but in 1960, they designed the first running shoe with a ripple sole and the first running shoe that came in varying widths. It didn't take long before New Balance running shoes were used by college track teams all over the country. Today, New Balance makes their shoes available in more widths than almost any other company and that means that there's a New Balance that can fit nearly any foot. Although they started by making running shoes, New Balance tennis shoes are an industry staple and are loved by recreational and serious players. New Balance also makes fine running and tennis apparel, as well as a variety of socks and other sporting accessories.
