For heat therapy: Heat in the microwave for 45 to 65 seconds (depending upon your microwave's power). Test the pack's temperature and heat for an additional 5 seconds as needed until the desired temperature is reached.

For cold therapy: Freeze for at least 2 hours.

  The TheraPearl pearls are made of a non toxic material. While they shouldn't be consumed, no first aid is required. However, you should contact your grandson's doctor just in case, especially if he consumed a large number or has any pre-existing conditions.
