I just started a ZUMBA class and was looking for a good shoe that would support my ankle and still make it easy to pivot and dance. Normally I wear a size 8 in sneakers, but after reading reviews I opted to order a size 9 in this shoe. A 9 fits great. I also have a pair of Puma's (dance) that I ordered a size 9 and they fit very similar (they aren't high-top). I had tried on an 8.5 and my toe hit the end of the shoe but it fit great in the width. I would suggest ordering a full size up.

Downbeats are lightweight, yet supportive enough to keep my 66 year old supinating feet in alignment and "bionic" hips happy! High tops give much support to a weak ankle as well. Very comfortable and gray/pink/orange colors help make them fun to wear while "burning up the dance floor"!
