Nitracel® is engineered from Nitrogen infused foam, this innovative cushioning cartridge absorbs impact and provides energy return for a smooth, resilient ride. Sleek S.G.S.™ provides midfoot support. S.G.S.® (Skeletal Guidance Shank) is uniquely engineered to keep the shoe lightweight yet provide midfoot support during heel-to-toe transition. The S.G.S® works in tune with the other technologies built around it by acting as a center frame stabilizer. C2™ Cartridge in the heel is a highly innovative cushioning system engineered with an encapsulated Visco-Elastomer pack, with active spheres that provide a spring like quality for superior performance, cushioning and comfort.

I was looking for dance sneakers that offered good ankle and arch support, as well as cushioning as I have knee issues and take zumba classes from 4 to 6 times a week.I decided to try the Ryka Synergy even though it is a cross-training sneaker, after reading many reviews. I am very pleased with the support and cushioning, lightness and looks.But I find they are not optimum for dance as they do not glide well on carpeting nor on some wood floors.Think I will get a true dance sneaker as well and alternate between the two. Overall I am still satisfied with my purchase and with the speed it was delivered to my door.

I go to the gym and attend studio fitness classes 3-5 times a week. I've worn these so far for my studio boot camp classes and just regular workouts on the main gym floor. Very comfortable, the adjustable velcro strap really lets you customize the fit. My third pair of Ryka's, I keep coming back to this brand. They truly know women's feet and style better than any of the other top brands. I have worn Nike and Reebok in the past and have the best luck and most bang for buck with Ryka's.
