Roomer but traction on moist and wet rocks is terrible.

Comments about New Balance Leadville v3 Women's Azalea/Gray:

Roomier than the NB Hierro foam show. Strong rock plate and toe protection. However, terrible traction on wet rocks. It is just better to go through the water than to plan to step on wet rocks to cross streams or creeks with slightly exposed rocks. Very slippery.

  • Q:

I have a sizing question. I am a true women's 8.5m, but tend to size up to a 9m for my Asics road running shoes. I'm now shopping for trail shoes, and two New Balance models are recommended, but I have no idea how the New Balance sizing compares with Asics. Can you provide any guidance? Thank you?

Generally, New Balance running/trail shoes run true to size. Compared to Asics shoes, they run about the same in fit. We would recommend staying with the 9m size to allow your feet to expand while running/walking. If the shoe does fit a little larger than expected, a half size up is better than a half size down which may cause discomfort and injury.

  • About New Balance
New Balance has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of running shoes and they've done this without expensive advertising campaigns. New Balance knows that there is no better press than positive word-of-mouth. New Balance began as an arch support company, but in 1960, they designed the first running shoe with a ripple sole and the first running shoe that came in varying widths. It didn't take long before New Balance running shoes were used by college track teams all over the country. Today, New Balance makes their shoes available in more widths than almost any other company and that means that there's a New Balance that can fit nearly any foot. Although they started by making running shoes, New Balance tennis shoes are an industry staple and are loved by recreational and serious players. New Balance also makes fine running and tennis apparel, as well as a variety of socks and other sporting accessories.
