All Arch Types. Dean Karnazes' Response Insoles are heat moldable, so they fit and support your unique foot shape perfectly. These custom insoles feature an orthopedic base layer that molds to your unique foot without losing its supportive shape.

Footbed customization can be performed by wearing the insoles or by using heat which is easy and only requires a few simple steps. To customize your footbeds by wearing them, place them in your footwear and wear as with any other shoe. After a few days the footbeds will be molded to your unique foot shape.

  • An Opti-therm indicator turns black when your insoles are ready to be taken out of the oven and molded. (maximum of 3 minutes)
  • Polygiene® antimicrobial agent is used to control odors.
  • Perforations, throughout the insole in non-structural areas, reduce overall weight.
  • Ventilated Softec cushion layer provides unparalleled shock absorption and increased airflow.
  • A moldable orthopedic base layer, consisting of 20% recycled content, contours to the unique shape of your foot without losing its supportive properties.
  • Moisture wicking top sheet is made from 35% recycled content.
  • A deep heel cup aligns your foot during heel strike.
  • Custom arch support aligns and supports your foot.

Sole Custom Footbeds are heat moldable in a few easy steps, so they fit your unique foot perfectly. The generic insoles that are supplied with your footwear are designed to fit the lowest common denominator foot shape. They simply cannot offer the same level of arch support, control and comfort that heat moldable Sole Custom Footbeds do.

Simple Steps to Customize:
Step 1: Preheat the oven. Do not use a microwave.
Step 2: Remove the factory insoles from your foot wear. If the insole cannot be removed because it is permanently glued in, leave them in place.
Step 3: If you need to trim your footbeds to fit into your footwear, use your old insole as a guide. Warning: Only trim to the toe end and do not cut them too short.
Step 4: Place the footbeds in the oven on a baking sheet until the Opti-therm indicator turns black.
Step 5: Remove the footbeds from the oven and immediately put them into your footwear.
Step 6: Put your shoes on right away making sure your heels are against the back of the shoes before lacing them up.
Step 7: Stand up straight with your feet shoulder width apart and your toes pointed forward for two minutes.

Comments about SOLE Signature DK Response Insole:

I've just started using these insoles in my work shoes. First day was good. I have used professionally molded insoles in the past and they worked well. These are similar to professionally molded insoles for a reasonable price.
They are durable and work well for athletic shoes.
The manufacturer stands by their warranty. Environmentally friendly packaging as well.

          Service and delivery comments:

Holarbird and SOLE provided great customer support. Pleased with the shipping time for my item. Will be purchasing more in the future.

Comments about SOLE Signature DK Response Insole:

I suffer from plantar fascitis, and for a long time Sole has been helping me to deal with the problem. I have always said that I found Sole footbeds a little expensive, and hard to find a good discount, but they do last a lot of time, probably a year, with lot of running sessions.

            • Q:

I have a very wide foot, and I need to buy oversized and cut down the length. My shoe size is 11, but most size 11 shoes squeeze the sided of my little toes, and I need about 110mm of width across the forefoot.
So my question is what is the width, in millimeters, of your size K, at the widest part of the forefoot? If that is more than 110mm, then how about the J? Thanks.

                A:

The forefoot MM does not change, but the Heel to toe does. The Forefoot width in MM is 98mm.

These insoles have a 90 day satisfaction guarantee from SOLE, however they have been reported to last 6 months or more in reviews.

                A:

Like shoes, the lifespan of any insole varies depending upon the runner’s body weight, running style, arch structure, and more. Most insoles last somewhere in the neighborhood of 6-12 months. Generally, it is a good idea to replace your insoles every time you get a new pair of shoes.

Our feet hold up our entire bodies. Every day, every minute, our feet are under incredible stress and strain. SOLE can help. SOLE understands that when it comes to feet, there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all. Generic insoles can't offer the same level of arch support, control and comfort as SOLE. The SOLE orthopedic shape has an arch height which adjusts but doesn't flatten out, as well as a forefront which takes the shape of your forefoot, including your toes and the balls of your feet. SOLE insoles serve as constant contact across the bottom of your feet so you are never unsupported. Accepted by the American Podiatric Medical Association, SOLE insole are the pinnacle of orthopedic footwear - and they actually look good.
