My last Garmin (Forerunner 205) stopped working two weeks before a marathon. I purchased this Garmin and love it. I like having the option of up to 5 different screens with up to 4 views per screen. You can auto scroll the screens, as well, if you would like to use this option. I love the vibrating option on the mile (lap) mark. All around great GPS.

I bought this after the battery on my phone kept dying during long runs and rides. I also purchased the Garmin GSC 10 speed/cadence sensor for my bike. The watch synced up quickly and easily. This is a great tool for tracking multisport uses. The battery life has been great.

My first GPS running watch, and I love it. Much more reliable than using the app on my Android phone.
Customizable status pages while running has got to be my favorite feature right now.
Service and delivery comments:
The first watch I ordered was defective, probably a bad ANT stick. To maintain my tracking/training usage, I had to buy another one, wait for it to arrive, make sure it worked, then send the bad one back. Two problems with that: I had to shell out another $250 temporarily, and I had to pay shipping on all the trips. Watch is worth it, but Holabird could have secured an exclusive customer for all my running needs had they reimbursed me some way for 2 extra shipping charges.

The Garmin 310XT does not support swim metrics (stroke type, stroke count, pool length, etc.). Garmin has released a recent software update for the 310XT that does allow it to accurately estimate open water swimming distance and average speed.Answered on 10/29/2012 by Ryan from Holabird Sports

This version of the Garmin Forerunner 310XT does not include a heart rate monitor. The version with the heart rate monitor is available from Holabirdsports.com, item #052112, however, it is more expensive than the version without the heart rate monitor, currently at $299.95 vs. this version, which is only currently $249.95.Answered on 9/16/2012 by Community Answer from NoneA:
