  This product doesn't keep a record of your heart rate, it simply measures and displays it when you touch the stainless steel bezel.

  In order to measure your heart rate, the Timex Health Touch Heart Rate Monitor requires that you place your fingers on the watch bezel. Unlike heart rate monitors that use a chest strap, this heart rate monitor only measures heart rate when you are touching it.
