Can the strap be used in the pool, with the watch outside the pool? So you can get your heart rate when you get to the end of a lap and look at the watch.

  This heart rate monitor was not designed with pool use in mind. The heart rate strap's signal would probably not reach the watch all the time due to the distance and the water.
