Q:
I am looking for a watch for my niece who runs cross-country for middle school. I have a GPS running watch and I am trying to find her something similar without the GPS and the $$. She really just needs a watch that tracks distance (miles) and time. Can you point me in the right direction?Asked on 11/21/2012 by Vicky from Kentucky1 answer
A:
The Soleus P.R. is a good watch, but it does not track distance so it may not suit your niece's needs. If distance-tracking is an important feature for her GPS technology is the best way to go and fortunately there are some inexpensive GPS units. Soleus has a few GPS units that are currently priced around $60 and are very good introductory GPS watches. (http://www.holabirdsports.com/soleus-gps-10-sport-watch-blackgray.html). For around $100, Timex has a GPS watch called the Marathon GPS (http://www.holabirdsports.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=timex+marathon) that is inexpensive and is a very good introductory GPS watch as well.Answered on 11/26/2012 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
