Upper: RhynoSkin® is ASICS' high abrasion resistant synthetic leather for increased durability. PHF® (Personal Heel Fit), memory foam lined heel collar, molds to the athlete's foot, creating a more comfortable, personalized fit. Medial and lateral supports integrated into the lacing system provide increased support. Padded air mesh tongue and heel collar. Free pair of black laces included with purchase.
Midsole: ASICS GEL® cushioning system in the heel and forefoot provide excellent shock absorption. SpEVA® Midsole provides midsole durability and shock attenuation. A removable sockliner provides increased cushioning and is compatible with most ankle braces and is washable. SpEVA™ 55 last construction provides density for cushioning and accommodates the foot in a stable footbed.
Outsole: NC Rubber® is an outsole compound containing more natural rubber content than traditional solid rubber, resulting in enhanced traction on court systems.

Comments about ASICS GEL-Domain 2 Men:
The domain 2 is used for 6-8 hours a week of game play in a competitive indoor volleyball setting. They force you to lean on your toes which is very helpful when it comes to passing, setting, and swinging through the ball. The Domain 2 are used for jump training and similar workouts at the gym. On your first couple of uses your feet may slide slightly due to the new material of the insole. Don't worry your socks will get along nicely after that! One of the main reason's I picked out this particular model was because of the flashy blue color that not a lot of players have. If you are going to do something right due it with style. The price was superb as well. I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking to replace their old ones.

nice pair of shoes, especially at holabird prices. light, good grip...cant complain with these shoes except that they are 1/2 size too small. i found the same with yonex shoes as well. i guess shoes made by japanese companies tend to run a bit small. but overall quality is very good. i would definitely buy another pair...half size bigger that is.

Looks like these will be good value. Based on decades of "serious" volleyball, where I relied on "the best" shoes, maybe spend the extra $40 for top of the line if you are going to REALLY be playing a lot of "hardcore", because these may not hold up as long. I'm only guessing, because these are great so far, and seem well worth the money. Lightweight, good toe piece, "quick" feel to them, and good grip and shock absorption Plenty of performance now that I am slowing down a bit.
Local sports store did not carry these, but I tried on other Asics and found them a bit small and snug....glad I went an extra 1/2 size larger.
