what is the expected life of the battery? that is how many charges are expected to be made during the life of a battery.

  Exact battery life does vary, but with proper care the battery should last several years. It is important to store the machine (and battery) in a dry location with regulated temperatures. Moisture and extreme heat or cold may damage the battery and shorten battery's lifespan. The battery should be fully charged before the machine is stored, even if it was only used for a short time. Additionally, it is important to charge the battery at least once a month even when the machine is not in use.
