Comments about Penn ATP World Tour Extra-Duty 4/Can 18 Cans:

Played with the "regular" Penn balls for years and like them, too. But the ATP version hold their bounce significantly longer. They are a tad heavier with a more solid feel.

The availability of the 4-ball cans makes the ATP Penn balls an even easier decision. Used to crack 2-cans of the regular balls each time we played. Didn't really need 6 balls, but 3 is not enough, especially warming up for doubles. Now we just use one 4-ball can of the ATP balls. Gives an even number of balls per pair for doubles warmup; one more ball to reduce time walking around picking them up vs 3 balls. It's a compromise, but the balls themselves are better and 4 last longer than even 6 of the normal balls. Very happy. Don't see why all balls don't come in 4 packs.

Comments about Penn ATP World Tour Extra-Duty 4/Can 18 Cans:

Hit this ball 5 times a week. The 4 tube is great. Open 2 tubes at a time. Get at least 3 hits out of the 2 tubes before the balls are done.

I have a ProPenn 4 tennis ball which has a rattle sound inside the ball when I shake the tennis ball. Is this a design detail or a defect in this one ball? Just curious.

Penn is one of the most recognized names in tennis balls. Penn was started in Jeanette, Pennsylvania in 1910. Since then they have developed some of the most important tennis ball enhancements. Penn was the first to invent pressurized ball cans. Next they invented the first fluorescent yellow tennis balls. In 1973, the USPTA used Pro Penn tennis balls as their official ball. Throughout the past 100 years Penn has made revolutionary discoveries that have continually improved the tennis ball.
