Micro Cellular Technology: Neither pressurized nor permanent pressure™, Tretorn's micro cellular technology is patented worldwide and recognized by the ITF as the pioneer of a new category of tennis ball. The result is a highly playable tennis ball that does not lose performance over time.

A conventional pressurized ball flattens on the stringbed as it is hit and resistance is provided by the compressed air within the ball. A small amount of air escapes each time the ball is struck, reducing air pressure and performance. With this new category of ball, 700 million air-filled micro cells take the place of compressed air. These cells cannot escape through the ball's rubber core, resulting in a ball that never loses its bounce.

The rubber core, made of titanium and polybutadiene, has a softer feel than permanent pressure balls, enhancing spin. Surfaced with Tretorn's exclusive Flex-Felt™, which is specially designed from wool and polyester fibers, the Micro X offers unsurpassed feel, playability ad wear-resistance.

Comments about Tretorn Micro-X 2 Tone Bag of 72:

These balls bounce much better than the typical pressurized tennis balls when it's really cold outside. They are not as hard or heavy as pressure-less balls from three other companies. Since they last a long time, I will save money in the long run as well. I've been using them in both practice and games.

I just got these and used them with my Lobster Elite 3 machine and they were great. I've used others that were hard as rocks but these had good feel and were easy on my arm.

            • About Tretorn
For over 100 years, one of the biggest names in the tennis industry has been Tretorn. Since the founding of the company in 1891 in Helsingborg, Sweden, Tretorn has been dedicated to quality products at the best prices. Originally producing quality rubber boots, the founder of Tretorn, Henry Dunker, realized the growing popularity of tennis and decided to switch his focus to the production of tennis balls. The rest, they say, is history. Tretorn was the first company to produce pressurized tennis balls as early as 1930, followed by pressureless tennis balls in 1950. Today, Tretorn is one of the leading manufacturers of tennis equipment in the world. Make sure to check out Tretorn's products here at Holabird Sports for quality, professional tennis equipment.
