Pure Graphite Technology: Optimizes the construction of the racquet for maximum power, control and stability while providing low vibration and enhanced comfort. Pure Graphite Technology combines both ultra high strength and ultra high modulus carbon fiber layers that are arranged in a composite construction to efficiently transfer the swing energy from the racquet to the ball, while effectively absorbing and dissipating the aftershock and vibrational energy from impact. The result is a series of high performance racquets that are available in a variety of power levels to suit all types of players and playing styles, each providing an uncompromised level of control, comfort and feel.

    Comments about Gamma Tour 320X:

As soon as I hit a ball with it, I immediately felt the good feel it gives. Better than my Dunlop 4d 300 for sure. I strung it at 56. Feels not too tight, not too loose. Good accuracy. Might need a little bit weight added because it feels really light. Good racquet, nice design.

    Comments about Gamma Tour 320X:

The reason I would not recommend this racquet to a friend is because you've really got to know what your looking for when you purchase this racquet, and most of the club player's today can just get a better overall racquet, (without the worries), for a few dollars more. You really can't go "that" wrong at $50.00 and it would make a nice "first" transition racquet for a high-school boy or girl who is just enjoying the game. The paint job is pretty cool and gives the racquet a modern look.

This racquet plays like an early model of the original graphite racquets; before the wide-body era. The first graphite model's back then had straight beams, were lighter than wood or aluminum, had about the same sweet spot size, but were more powerful.

If you like the way those racquets felt, then this is a very nice racquet, but if you don't like that "abrupt" feel of the ball hitting the strings then this racquet will feel uncomfortable to you.
You can have a lot of fun trying different string set-ups, but the string bed will probably play best if you use a multifilament strung around 55lbs, or, you could try installing a hybrid mix of multifilament with a co-poly string, strung in the upper-40's or low 50's, (I think a full-bed of poly will be to harsh).

I added 4 inches of lead tape to my racquet at the 2:00 and 4:00 positions, hoping to give the racquet more of a plough-through effect, I didn't like it, so I moved the lead tape down to the 3:00 and 9:00 positions, and this really helped to stablize the racquet and create more plough through...which is basically what Wilson found out helped tremendously when they first introduced their PWS system, (added weight at the 3:00 and 9:00 positions for more power and stability).

I was looking for a heavier racquet and after trying a few, liked this Gamma's balance and feel.

What does 5L mean? I know 4-5/8 is the grip size. Does it come in a 4 1/4 grip?

Unfortunately this racquet is a closeout item that we no longer carry. For other Gamma racquets with a 4 1/4 grip click here >>> http://bit.ly/1LFeaNy
