Comments about New Balance 804 W Men:
My son and I use the same 10EE size and have no blisters
or sore feet. Knees and hips agree also. You wont go
wrong with this model. I used to have ankle roll over
in my 40s50s. Since using this model (now 68) no more rollovers

- Tread Wears Through
Best Uses
Comments about New Balance 804 W Men:
Gives good support for my 12B feet. Stays tight on my narrow feet which helps blisters from developing. Provides good support for a two hour hardcourt match.
The tread on the heals' outside edge and the mid sole wears, at least to me, a bit fast. The uppers stay in great shape while the tread gets slick and, in some places, wears through. Still, I may be asking too much from a shoe.

Q:
How is this shoe different than the 802? Why change the 802? I loved it's stability and am suspicious of modifying it. The reason I NEVER buy Nike shoes is there's no continuity of models: once you find the perfect shoe they drop it or change it and you have to go back to trial and error again.Asked on 11/26/2012 by Chip from Berkeley, CA2 answers
A:
It is just slightly different in the style.Answered on 11/26/2012 by Community Answer from NoneA:
I can understand your hesitancy. It is always tough to take the plunge and make a switch when your shoes have been working well. The good news is that the differences are really just cosmetic. The 804 should be very comparable to the 802. Most footwear companies do incrementally update their shoes with the intention of improving the materials, weight, or functionality. That being said, sometimes even small updates can unintentionally change the fit or feel of a shoe. In this case, the 802 and 804 are similar enough that you shouldn't have any problems; however, I would still encourage you to take some time wearing the 804 indoors on carpet to make sure that it feels OK before taking it on the courts for the first time.Answered on 11/29/2012 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
