Cortex Active Technology: Every time a racquet hits a ball, it generates thousands of vibrations, hundreds of which cause discomfort, while others help players get a better feel for the ball. Since each player has different needs, Babolat has designed a system with three new types of dampeners to enable all types of players to find just the right amount and kinds of sensations to suit their specific style and preferences.

Cortex Expert: Pure sensations. A CDS (Cortex Dampening System) interface transmits useful information to the player and the new handle design brings that information closer to the player's hand for perfect control on every hit.

Woofer System: The Woofer system is the first technology to enable the frame and strings to interact each and every time a players hits a ball. Woofer provides 25% longer ball-string contact time for greater precision and more sensations.

Aero Modular: New modular frame concept, creates maximum penetration of the racquet through the air and increases the hitting power. Perfect control for directional hitting.

  • Q:

Which free string would you recommend for tennis elbow and comfort? What string if cost is no object? I like thinner strings.
My present racquet is a Wilson Pro Staff 6.1 Stretch 95, and I do prefer a longer racquet.
    Thanks for your help.

Babolat Addiction is a very soft, playable string that should be very easy on your arm. It is available in 16 and 17 gauge and is currently being offered free of charge with the purchase of this racquet. Aside from the Addiction, you might also be interested in trying Babolat Xcel, Wilson NXT, or Gamma Live Wire XP. All three of those strings are also very soft and playable and are some of our top-selling strings.

The specs for the new version of the AeroPro Drive Plus remain identical to its predecessor. The biggest difference is the addition of an updated Cortex Dampening System that absorbs shock and provides better feel.
